LEADERSHIP
Our elders serve as the primary leaders of Williamsburg Bible Church and focus upon teaching, preaching, prayer, and strategic direction of the church for God's glory.
We believe the the Lord has called elders to lead the congregation of believers, especially through treaching, preaching, and prayer unto His glory. God's standard for these leaders are clearly laid out in His Word (1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9), and instructed them to lead, feed, oversee and portect the local church (Acts 20:28-35; 1 Pet 5:1-4). Furthermore, we understand each elder will have to give account for their stewardship before God (Heb 13:17). We also believe the Lord has given deacons to the church who are to meet similiar standards (1 Timothy 3:8-13) and assist the elders in their work (cf. Acts 6:1-8).
Trey Meester, Pastor
Pastor Trey grew up in West Virginia and completed his bachelor’s degree at Appalachian Bible College before moving to Los Angeles, CA to attend The Master’s Seminary. While there, he met his wife Katie and completed his M.Div. and Th.M. He and Katie served at a church in Lexington, KY before joining us here at Waller Mill. They now have three beautiful little girls and are thrilled to live here in Williamsburg, VA.
